The latest infection control protocols have been implemented in our practice, following directives of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
For your family’s safety we have added:
You will see some changes in protocol when you come to your next appointment. We made these changes to protect our patients, staff and everyone’s families. For example:
We will ask that you cancel your appointment if you or a family member has symptoms or has had recent exposure to Covid 19.
We will require that anyone (over the age of 2) be wearing their mask before entering our office.
We will take the temperature of everyone entering the office and a brief health screening questionnaire will be completed.
You will be required to sign a Covid 19 Pandemic Dental Treatment Consent and Release to allow us to treat your child.
You will see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, x-box, toys, etc. as these items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
We will do our best to reduce the number of people in our reception area at any one time. Per CDC guidelines, we will ask that only the patient being seen be brought to the office and that siblings be left at home if at all possible. Only one parent, if truly necessary, will be permitted in the operatory with the patient.
Significant investments have been made to enhance and preserve the safety measures our practice offers to patients and staff. Due to the scale of these investments (more than are readily apparent) and the surging costs of protective equipment (PPE), it is necessary to implement a temporary PPE surcharge of $10 per patient, per visit to be collected at the time of service. When these extreme measures are no longer necessary, the fee will be discontinued.
